Hi sueweldon, you should take a look at the Ministry of Forests wildfire website and get the co-ordinates and start using google maps to help you figure out where they were. you'll need to look at the history lists, and find the appropriate region and year. the season around there should start in May. Might see you there! I'll be on a little roadtrip in early May. But I'll be "hunting" for wildflowers too, to get pics of. Good luck! Full baskets.

Boletus Joe- I've had some weird ones, but picker/mushroom role reversal is yet to happen. Maybe it'll come soon. Mushroom Bandit I second that question- would love to locate those baskets as well.

If you see a fifth wheel with solar power. hot chicks, and dirt bikes and quads this season. that will be the "Mushroom Bandit". Fair warning, I give bad advise that'll just serve to lead you my patches.

Dreams..... is it the one where you are being stocked by a fellow with a knife and your feet are rooted in the ground, you can't move, you can't hide. Then the guys finds you and cuts your legs off and throws you in a bag with a bunch of other legless individuals. Then everything goes black, and you wake up in the back of some restaurant where everyone is speaking Italian.... Is that the dream you have??

Hi, looking to pick Morels this yr in B.C. Canada. Wondering if anyone knows a good site to find fire maps of the Bulkley/Nechako fires or the prince George fires of 2014. Also any ideas of when the growing season starts up there. Thanks!

Hello there Purple lady. Almost e3veryone here can sell you some mushrooms. Two questions tho, any kind in particular you are interested in trying? And where are you located? Season is mostly over in SW Washington. Truffles are starting to pop, but that's about it until spring for morels.

why would anyone pick for a buck a pound. seriously. even if there was an abundunce.  who in their right mind picks for a buck a pound. what kinda of buyer expects you to pick for that price. maybe a quarter more if really nice. especially when they were payin upwards of sixteen bucks a pound last season.

Fishgod: I have picked pines in the Nass as late as the third week of November. It was around a wooded swamp and the snow was over a foot deep. I managed to sell three flags for $25. My brother while falling a snag for firewood the day after Christmas a number of years ago, dropped the tree onto the ground and when it hit, the snow flew up exposing over a dozen number ones still poking out of the moss.
