CleElum Girl, hard to believe, found about 4 lbs of Black Morels at a elevation of about 6,000 ft. Probably because of a late snow field melt. Nice suprise here near Chinook Pass. Don

FYI-been having fun finding spring king boletes, morels and coral in the same area. Buttons keep popping so we shall have about another week or so? I'll have to post some pics if I can here of our dinner we had after one of the pics.

Hi dan'o't'woods, Thanks! I'll bear that in mind... Actually, it's going to be a planned, 3 week, guided pick and mycological survey, good size camp travelling with us, with the buyers at the middle and the end. Very sweet gig to be invited to join. And, as of today, looks like next year now. :c) Happy picking, shroomkid

Hi everyone, Have any of you picked along the northern/middle BC coast? I'm considering a trip up that away, like Ocean Falls, Knight's Inlet, Bella Coola, Bella Bella, etc. for August. If it doesn't work out, or only I can go for one of those spots, I'll be making time next year to go for an extended trip. And, when does the Nass start up? I discovered I can digest lobster mushrooms just fine, and love the taste, so am excited about including them in my basket too. Also, is anyone picking oysters for sale? What kind of prices are they going for? I got a sweet haul down here, outside of Port Renfrew, last week-end. They dried down to 15 lbs. I'll be adding them to a whole lot of ramen noodle soups at lunch! haha! ... Cleaning took a lot of work though... Full buckets, shroomkid

Hi good peeps. A question for all you awesome foragers. If I was to be visiting the Winthrop area at the end of June what could I be looking for to forage in the area? I would assume all the fire burn morels would be long gone. What about porcini or? Thanks ;)
