Hello Sniper, I'm sorry for the continuous diatribe in this board, I just could not contain myself , anyways please don't boil your cauliflower mushroom you will destroy it, boiling will kill all the enzymes plus it would not be very appetizing, (sorry Carla) , best way to cook it is lightly, you could eat it almost raw , use it has if it would be a main vegetable, in my opinion it's the best way ,check this link., http://recipes.wikia.com/wiki/Cauliflower_mushroom

Hello there mushie folk, Well it seems that August as started to pock the wasps nest again, [ he could test the patience of a saint ], last year tread , remember ? Andy had to start a new tread regarding the maleficence's of Chris and August , have we forgotten that ?, It's obvious that the people that are posting favorable postings regarding their "ventures" are either personally involved or too chicken shit to post their identities since they are hiding under pseudonymous , if they firmly believe on those folks actions I deem it unnecessary to hide your identities, anyways you don't have to travel far to see the vast difference on ethics , Andy in one hand which as greatly contribute to the pool of knowledge , charges 0 $ , to truly teach people versus Chris which knows and as contributes nothing to the mentioned pool charges money to fools, enough I'm getting upset,

August or Chris attempting to teach proper forest habits is over rated, first you got to be registered in the forests your going to do pay forays in . that is the first attempt at common sence and proper forest habits education. call the gifford pinchot and see if either person was registered to conduct business in the Nat forest as advertised by Chris. there are dozens of legal pay foray organizations locally that follow the rules and are registered with the many national forests up and down the cascades. you 2 jokers arent neither of them, respectible or educational folks, now if you conducted business like the other ORGs do then NO PROBLEM , Oh by the way, most Org's are non profit and donate most of the proceeds back to the forest service or public lands they do business in for obvious reasons, can you think of one? or are you to greedy?

Andy; I will not be able to come for your foray, so if I was in the top 5 you can bump someone else up. ........ lapu lapu; You may be correct, I was going off the top of my head for the date at the time. As for the other person, I believe it was this past spring where the man you referred was complaining that he could not afford diapers etc. I believe he is one of the Eugene area [commercial pickers in denial ] that posts on the Oregon Myco board. If I remember correctly, he was complaining about the price of morels being too low early last spring and was blaming it on California pickers.

If anything, them coming stimulated the local economy with eating establishments, hotels, gasoline, grocery stores, etc!

lobo, you may have your time frame off one year if what i read on a discussion board or two last year where a person was ranting about how commercial pickers had come in and picked all there fire morels is correct. A person who was selling at a farmers market in montana was crying about someone else picking all of the morels in a free use burn. Another person was crying that he could not afford diapers because of commercial pickers selling too cheep. Funny that both of these persons claimed to not be any sort of commercial picker, yet complained that others were getting the morels they wanted to sell themselves. FOREST HARVEST, i agree with you about it being, "hypocrisy at their best". In my opinion August or Chris attempting to teach proper forest habits is a very good thing and more of it is needed.

I understand what I have to say means little. But in a effort to prevent over lapping interest, the, "Matsiman" site has divided it self into 3 different sections. "Mad Morel Board", being one of them, has meaning. If you want more tech info, go to the Buyer and Pickers section. This board expands into the, Masti. Morel, chanty, as well as, B.S. If you don't want "B.S.", go to another offering or just go away.. We still have freedom of choice. Don't know how long we will have it, so use it now...

August are you friends with the Gifford pinchot, called them the other day, they have no recorded info of you or Chris, obtaining a outfitter guide permit required in Washington, for your foray. they are looking for their 5% gross commissions fees plus fines from last years forays. when you going to educate yourself and use the proper manners in the woods and abide by the same rules my friends have to and just how educational are you at CPR anyhow, boy about 6 of you clowns on here are just clueless about your facts on the subject. Didn't surprise me at all that you are partnered again, taking advantage of the public lands , Joe chung said it right! August; I am glad that the foray went well for you and others involved. I cringe when I view trash or destroyed mushroom beds, I have numerous photos of picker as well as fire-fighter trash that I collected to create a better viewing experience. .... I have an interesting story of something interestingly amusing that I observed earlier this year. ???????????? .... A mushroom matron type person went to a neighboring forest to purchase a commercial mushroom permit because they were not available in the local forest near where they lived, as I recall she said that she never planned to pick where that permit was valid but desired to have a paid permit in possession when selling her fire morels picked from a personal use site. This person allegedly was harvesting a burn site close to home this past summer and selling many of her pirated fire morels in a Farmers Market ‘whole & un-cut’ even though it was required to cut each morel in half lengthwise in the burn they were harvested in. When others commercial foragers came in and picked the same burn, she went ballistic over “The Commercial Pickers” and allegedly turned them in for commercial picking where it was designated ‘personal usages only’… LOL ...

For those of you who think they know it all about my foray here in Cougar,Wash. well you don't know what is really going on. We or should I say I, have not gone in to the this foray with those that have payed to come to the foray; without a personnel permit and hike into a closed wounds,we did go to many other place with permits and I have gone to my high to see what other people have done to it and like I have said they have done more harm then good. Put Chris down if you like but I have the last word on where to take them who won't to learn the right way to pick and what is safe to eat. Chris and I have done some filming of what those other people have done to a very old beds and the last of Mt St Helen's best picking grounds that now may be lost for good from pickers that don't even live here and have been sent there by buyer's that only think of is money. Yes I do receive a wage for what I know and it's more fun to teach what I have learn over 33 year's. Those of you who put people down for teaching others need to get out of what you as well are doing; even those that buy from the picker's. I really have no more to say to you but to get a life and get out of what you are doing. This is my last year and saleing to those that don't care about paying a good and fair price to to those that are clean picker. I well keep on teaching others to right way and how to find good grounds. Keep all your bad comments to yourselfs, I need not hear or say what how you fill. I know more then you well know and you are not welling to learn. Thank you lone lobo and I hope that person you knows whom there. buy the way it was a big hit on this years Foray.

Forest Harvest; good to see that you are doing so well, I viewed your most recently posted beautiful mushroom photographs, very nice. .... August & friends, I wish you the very best in your endeavors. As you already know I do not agree with some methods of conducting guided forays but I never felt it affect my friendship with those who believe differently than I do. .... .... .... Now to a different but somewhat related subject, there are many who feel that it is wrong for the government to require permits to forage for or sell wild mushrooms and I feel that obedience is between the forager and his 'Maker', this certainly has provided some interesting human relation observances. .... What does bother me is the few... "holier-than-thou" folks ...who take much pride in learning Latin names to apply to their foraged findings and share their thefts proudly with friends. ........ It is not the disobedience that bothers me; it is the hypocrisy that seems out of place. ….. Last spring a Latin name spouting woman allegedly proclaimed, at a ‘Jack Creek’ buy station, negative comments about commercial foragers and then came back privately to make arrangements for selling her pirated king boletes to be shipped from Montana later in the summer... Lol

I may never come back here if something is not done about.
